An Artist Introduction

Hello, today I am Sharing a bit more in-depth introduction of myself; that gives you some insight into me as an artist/illustrator and what to expect from my blog. Hopefully, I have something to say and share that you all find worthwhile.

Who doesn’t love to draw? I know I do and always have since I was young. Some of my earliest memories are of coloring with my mom at our coffee table (this is something I am trying to share with my children now). Over the many years, I have progressed to drawing my favorite characters, be it Disney or Looney Tunes, and art was always one of my favorite classes.

Art and Illustration got away from me for a while, and I have spent the last few years rediscovering my art and style in new ways, but I thought I would start sharing more about my process. Maybe this will be of value to other artists or hobbyists looking to make art. I want to share with people what works for me. If I am lucky, some tips will be beneficial for other creatives. Don’t be discouraged if they aren’t because everyone’s process is different, and you need to do you at all times.

My blog will mostly be a weekly art share and good news, yet I will also start having artist musings and information about my process. When I am not sharing process updates, the plan is to talk about being a working freelance artist and how that can overlap or affect mom life. I am a mother, and I feel like that has a lot of influence over how I look at the world. My children inspire me daily, and I am very proud of them. When it is appropriate, I may choose to share updates, like art shows or product drops. However, I want this to be minimal because I do not want people to feel like I am just here to sell to you all.

As I go on an artistic journey, please consider joining me. I want to grow and develop as an artist and illustrator, and maybe we can all get more talented together. If you like this and want to support me in some way then there is the option to subscribe to me on Substack or Buy me a Coffee on Ko-Fi.
