The prompt when I was working on this illustration was cat. Well I didn’t just want to make any old cat. The cat had to be hungry and I was trying to be humorous in my own way. It felt appropriate to have the fish looking sad at the prospect of being eaten. Had I been really on the ball with this joke I would have had the fish saying “Oh Carp!” and gone for the cheesy pun. That might be too much dad humor though. I hope you all had a good week.
