Starting with some art…

So, when I was a kid, my favorite character on Sesame Street was Oscar the Grouch. As I got older, I learned that the same man voiced both Oscar and my other favorite character, Big Bird. I am not sure what this says about my personality, but here is my homage to the wonderful Caroll Spinney. I hope you had a wonderful week.

The tiny island nation of Vanuatu just scored a big climate win

A tiny nation in the South Pacific has just achieved a major climate win. Youth activists from the nation of Vanuatu managed to successfully campaign the United Nations to adopt a resolution that will compel the world’s biggest emitters to do more to address climate change. From here, it could be two years till the highest global court weighs in, however, this is a step in the right direction resulting in holding countries responsible for the problem accountable for not addressing the issue.

Rewilding animals could be key for climate

A new report from Nature Climate Change reminds us of the importance of balance in nature to help with the crisis of climate change. By rewilding nature and conserving animals as well as plants, there is great potential in bringing balance to potential carbon sinks. This alone will not solve climate change; we cannot just restore threatened animals and continue business as usual. That said, it can help and should not be counted out as a way to help bring balance and a more sustainable future.

100-year-olds share their simple tips for a long, happy life: ‘I didn’t retire until I was 99’

We all want to live a long and healthy life. To that end, CNBC talked to some Centenarians about what tips they have for living longer. They consistently mentioned social connections and keeping your mind busy, but they all had their own tips, so go check it out when you have time.
